Student Comments:

From Meridy:

I started oil painting with Carole about two years ago.  I had never painted, or even done anything artistic in my life.  Since I started, I have completed about 7 paintings and continue to learn and grow.  Besides learning to paint, the social aspect has been a highlight in my life to be with other students learning and loving it.  I hate quitting each time and can't wait to return again to class.

From Susie:

After attending 4 and a half years of classes at the Dayton Art Institute, attending oil painting classes at the Pfister Gallery has brought a feeling of "coming home".  I love painting with new friends and old which is so gratifying!  It has a calming effect plus a vibrancy of working with all the glorious colors, molding them into a finished product.

From Nancy:

I started painting in 1985 with Carole as my instructor in Crown Point, Indiana.  She started me on my journey in art. Her relaxed style gave me the confidence to reach heights I never dreamed possible.  She encouraged me to find my medium and use my creativity.  Since knowing Carole, I have painted canvas, gourds, clothing, flower pots, murals and home decor.  I have learned many techniques over the years and from that was able to write a book about gourd crafting, on CD.  I also had the privilege of being a writer and an assistant editor of a gourd magazine for a year where I could use my art background.   If not for Carole, I probably would have only wished to paint, instead, with her encouragement I did paint.  The best part of all was gaining a life long friend.
